A winter holiday in Gaschurn is suitable for the whole family. Young and old enjoy an active wintersports holiday in the beautiful Silvretta Montafon ski area. The Montafon Brandnertal ski pass is good for 230 km of prepared pistes and 65 km of ski routes. The ski area offers months of skiing fun for beginners to advanced.
The village is the next to last village in an beautiful, long, sweeping valley. In the wintertime, most skiers will not be able to exhaust the dozens of kilometres-long pistes with modern lifts. This area is renowned in the world of snowboarding as it hosts the annual launch of the Snowboard World Cup. The special snowboard park near Schruns can be reached from Laijola through the lifts. The shuttle buses are free to anyone with a ski pass.
Also, in winter it is possible to reach the breathtaking Silvretta high alpine pass via an exciting ski safari from the nearby village of Partenen. After a sporty day, you can relax in the wellness (traditional sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin) or enjoy the après-ski life in various bars and discos in the village.

Skiing

The ski area Silvretta-Montafon / Brandnertal, Vorarlberg offers 295 km of slopes in Montafon and Brandnertal, altogether 79 lifts. The Versettlabahn (main lift in valley) is only a 5-minute walk away from Appart Laijola.
Snowboarding
The highlight for freestylers is the "Snowpark Montafon" in the Silvretta Montafon ski area. Everything that makes a freestyler heart beat faster with a halfpipe, 13 kickers, 12 rails, 10 jibs, etc. The park and can be found at the Fredakopf lift; it is the largest fun park in Montafon. The 8-man shaper-crew is maintains the park on a daily basis and will reshape and relocate the obstacles within the season. The chill-area with loungers & music offers a place to relax.

On a snowshoe hike you can enjoy the winter in Montafon. For example from Latschau you walk through the beautiful Sanüel to the Gauertal. With a rewarding view of the famous Drei Türme. Or another great snowshoe hike to the Silvrettasee. You walk through a winter fairy tale, it is just amazing!

Cross-country skying: 73 km classic cross-country runs & 21 km of skating runs in Montafon. The trails run directly behind the apartments of Appart Laijola.
Try tobogganing!
Night tobogganing: a 5,5 km long night toboggan run from the Garfrescha Bahn mountain station to the valley lift. Or during the day, for example, the 5 km long natural toboggan run in the Silvretta Montafon ski area from Kapell to Kropfen. The toboggan run is easy to ride and guarantees lots of fun for everyone.

Also in winter it is possible to reach the breathtaking Silvretta Pass through an exciting ski safari from the nearby village of Partenen. After an active day you can relax in our wellness (Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and infrared cabin) or "dive" into the après-ski life.
Ski pass Montafon Brandnertal
The Montafon Brandnertal area includes the villages of Bartholomäberg, Gargellen, Gaschurn - Partenen, St. Anton im Montafon, Sankt Gallenkirch - Gorthipohl, Schruns - Tschagguns, Silbertal and Vandans.
Montafon Brandnertal ski pass is valid for:
- 230 km of well-groomed slopes and 65 km of ski routes
- 79 mountain lifts in Montafon, Brandnertal, Gurtis, Bazora and Schnifi
- Muttersbergbahn (during the winter opening times)
- Montafonerbahn Bludenz-Schruns (for winter sports only)
