Ski area Montafon

Since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the Montafon has been one of the regions with relatively few infections. In order to guarantee guests a safe and carefree holiday this year, the following measures are being taken:

  • FFP2-Mask obligatory in lifts, in the queue at the lift and in ski depots and ski bus
  • Cable cars and chair lifts will only be occupied by 50% of their capacity
  • Après-ski is severely restricted or is not allowed at all
  • Regular disinfection of the lift cabins by means of 100% biological atomization
  • Disinfection dispensers at the entrance of lift stations and mountain restaurants
  • Disinfection of rental equipment at sports shops
  • Weekly testing of employees in hotels, restaurants, ski schools, ski lifts, etc.
  • FFP2-Mask in supermarket and other public areas such as when entering restaurants and terraces
  • Many bars/restaurants offer the menu digitally by means of QR code

Appart Laijola

Laijola expect to open again in the course of June and for your and our safety, we have taken the following measures:

  • FFP2-Mask in all public areas such as reception, corridors and ski cellar
  • Corona protection screens at the reception desk
  • Check-in with max. 1 person per family/group
  • Disinfection dispensers in all buildings
  • Temperature measurement of all guests on arrival
  • Extra cleaning of the apartments and public areas, cleaning staff wear masks and gloves while working
  • Disinfection in the apartments of sensitive surfaces such as door handles and tabletops
  • The wellness area will be closed this winter due to Corona regulations. It is practically not possible to disinfect sufficiently in a way that your safety can be guaranteed

Reservation & Cancellation

Because of Covid-19 we apply the following attractive adjusted booking conditions:

  • Rest payment only 2 weeks before arrival (instead of 4 weeks).
  • In case of a negative travel warning for the Montafon by the home country at 14 days before arrival: free of charge rebooking to another (equivalent) period and payments made will be transferred to the new booking.
  • In case of an officially closed border on the arrival day: 1) free of charge rebooking into another (equivalent) period and payments will be transferred to the new booking or 2) free cancellation and reimbursement of paid amounts.
  • In case a large part of the lifts and/or Appart Laijola are closed on arrival: 1) rebooking to another (equivalent) period free of charge and payments made will be transferred to the new booking or 2) free cancellation and reimbursement of the paid amounts.
In all other cases the normal booking and cancellation conditions apply, as mentioned in point 7 of the general terms and conditions of reservation.


Our partner European Travel Insurance offers a good cancellation insurance that covers sickness/contamination by Covid-19, both prior to and during the holiday. As a service this insurance can be taken out via Laijola together with the reservation of an apartment.

Fortunately, the travel insurance of many companies also offers regular cover in countries with a travel warning, e.g. for medical expenses, theft, loss, etc.
